Rocha Rocking the Lid
Final table chip leader Alex Rocha took poker off for 6 months and he's back with a vengeance and a new look.
"I found it in the closet," says Rocha about his winter cap with faux fur ear flaps, "I don't know where it came from. I just wanted to look like a tool."
So far so good, as Rocha now has two final tables at the Borgata Spring Poker Open, including his 6th place/$5,856 finish in the Event 4 Big Stack.
"I wanted to be a clown and look extra gimmicky," he says on his return to poker. "Like someone who doesn't know what they're doing."
Rocha says the image has worked to his advantage as players are more apt to call his bets and he can actually play a tighter game than it appears.
He wants you to call him a "tool" and a "clown," but more importantly he wants you to call him when he's holding the nuts.
