Champ: 9th Place - Borovetz

$2500 + $200 Championship NLH

Michael Borovetz (Pittsburgh, PA)
$25,100

On the turn with a board of K Q 9 4, Michael Borovetz was all-in holding K7 for top pair.

Unfortunately for Michael, Larry Abrams had flopped the joint with his JT.

Michael was drawing dead.  The irrelevant river card was an Ace, improving Larry's hand to Broadway.

Michael Borovetz finished in 9th place, earning $25,100.

Michael is a professional poker player, originally from Pittsburgh, who now resides in Staten Island, New York.  He's still a fiercely loyal Pittsburgh sports fan, "especially the Steelers" he says.

His greatest accomplishment outside poker is graduating with honors from Penn State with a degree in chemical engineering.

During this series, he amassed five cashes and two final tables, (including this one).  He finished 2nd in event 2, the $350 Black Chip Bounty NL event, good for $16,754 and $1,500 in bounties.
