Lin-sanity Ready for Day 1B
The 12 pm Satellite ($300, ~1 in 10 win seats) is in the books and nine players are heading to the Championship Event. Wooyang Lin (Morristown, NJ) who calls himself the "Lin-sanity of Poker" had 40% of the chips in play and did a a lot of the heavy lifting to help trim the field.
"I had good fortune today," says Lin, who finished third in Event 5 for $10,450. "I has hitting everything, straights and flushes." But Lin doesn't expect the trend to continue in the Championship.
"Anytime I do well in a satellite it never continues," he says. "So I'm going to play slow during the first levels and only play good cards. I'm going to trust my instincts."
The nine seat winners will be playing in Monday's Day 1B, while Edward Lyston (Hanover, PA) earns $843 for finishing in 10th place.
