Lenny Lerner (Brooklyn, NY)
$19,293
Lenny Lerner is the short stack and loses most of his chips to Mike Leah on a J J 5 5 x board. Leah shows down J 9 for the winning full house and Lerner mucks saying he had the smaller boat with A 5.
Lerner then ships his last 250k with Q 8 and Mickey Woll wins the hand with pocket fives.
Lerner is a retired physical therapist who is originally from the Ukraine and loves the six-max action. "It's more exciting," he says comparing it to a full ring game. "You don't have time to wait for hands, the blinds go, go, go."
Lerner finishes in third place and takes home $19,293. It's one his largest tournament cash, second only to his 2010 Borgata score of $102,000 in one of the guaranteed double plays.
