$500 + $60 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)
$300,000 Guaranteed
The term "deep 6" is a nautical term used to describe a submerged item that is difficult to recover at 6 fathoms (36 feet). Players with short stacks are getting a similar vibe in level 6 (200/400/50 ante) as it's the last level to re-enter the tournament.
Shorties are moving all-in looking to double-up or bust with an option to re-enter for a full 25k starting stack. One player who won't be doing either is Jason Warriner (Absecon, NJ) who busts with A9 against AQ.
"No re-entry, I'm already in twice," Warriner says disappointed that he's now busted for the second time and won't be entering a third. "Event 1s are always great, I wanted to at least bag chips."
In the mob world Warriner is now Deep 6 or dead in this tournament, but he's already eying up the 4 pm event ( $200 + $30 Deep Stack Semi-Turbo tournament). "That's poker," he says, "some days you run hot, others you can't get anything going."
All ins will be fast and furious during the next 30 minutes.
